Test presentation at La Poire, Cairo
A BAKTI Gelato test presentation at La Poire in Cairo, where Sash Krasnov worked together with the pastry chef.
252 flavours. One destination. A world of discovery.
Our vision brings together four experiences in one destination:
BAKTI already offers 180 gelato flavours. Building on this existing range, the Cairo project aims to bring together 252 plant-based, gluten-free gelato flavours. Visitors will be invited to taste, learn, explore and connect — making BAKTI Gelato World a destination for Cairo's residents and international travellers.
The flagship gelateria will be the heart of BAKTI Gelato World Cairo: a destination where visitors can discover an extensive collection of plant-based, gluten-free gelato, explore flavours and enjoy guided tastings.
BAKTI already offers 180 flavours. The Cairo project aims to bring 252 flavours together in one location, supported by dedicated production capacity. The concept envisages gelato displays around the room, allowing guests to explore the collection as part of the experience. Seven vitrines with 36 flavours each will present 252 flavours in total.
Specialty coffee and artisan pastry from the wider BAKTI franchise concept can complement the gelato experience as a supporting offer.
Ten live gelato machines will let guests watch fresh gelato being made in the shop.

Guests will also discover our own gluten-free cones, freshly made on site. The cone collection will feature turquoise, red, green, black and brown creations, with ingredients including turmeric, matcha, cocoa and raspberries — adding colour, aroma and craftsmanship to the gelato experience.
Specialty coffee and affogato complement the gelato experience, bringing together carefully prepared coffee and BAKTI gelato.

Can you guess which of these three flavours is coffee? You may be surprised by the answer — find it at the end of this page.
An interactive museum of gelato history will take visitors on a journey through the origins, craft and evolution of gelato. Interactive displays and digital screens will bring the story to life, adding an educational experience to every visit.
The BAKTI app, powered by AI, will be accessible at the destination and on guests' own devices. It will help visitors navigate the flavour collection, discover combinations based on their preferences and explore ingredient information.
Guests will be able to indicate allergies and ingredients they need to avoid. Using verified product and allergen information, the app is intended to flag relevant ingredients and guide questions to our team.
The app will also keep guests connected with new flavours, product launches, upcoming events and destination news, encouraging discovery before, during and after each visit.
BAKTI Gelato World is planned as a place that keeps evolving, with guided tastings, flavour launches, product presentations, themed events and opportunities to meet the makers. Its events programme will bring residents, visitors and partners together around gelato, creativity and hospitality.
The benchmark: 238 flavours. Our ambition: 252 — all plant-based and gluten-free.

BAKTI builds on hands-on hospitality experience in Slovenia, where our team operates PiranArt Hotel & Restaurant in Piran. This experience connects guest service, food preparation and day-to-day operations with the development of the BAKTI concept.
Alongside the Gelato World project, BAKTI franchise development is beginning in Saudi Arabia and in Cairo. These activities provide regional context for the project; Gelato World is the dedicated flagship and visitor-experience concept presented here.
